Results Night 2 Guests
Larry Crabb called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
Announcements:
Carl Hardy volunteered to be head judge for N4C slides in September but were not quite sure exactly which slide category it will be.
We need volunteers to judge SCCC Prints and 35 mm and 2.25 slides in September. Think about it and let Larry or Paula know at the banquet.
N4C is eliminating Large and Small print classes.
There will only be one class within each competition category. Each class will have a wider range of acceptable sizes.
We will have more information after Springbrook this weekend.
SCCC usually follows N4C recommendations.
This will mean fewer N4C categories into which we can enter work and more, tougher competition!
Paula needs the list of people attending the banquet. Bill C. will be contacted.
When e-mailing to the list of SCCC members, try to use the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) function of your e-mail message. This prevents others from seeing the whole list of e-mail addresses.
We will need to have lists for SCCC judges and treat providers for the 2009-2010 season.
The Education Committee slightly revised the 2009-2010 lists of field trips and programs. The newest version is in the latest newsletter.
Steve Paulson needs digital entries for Contemporary, Pictorial and Nature for May.
Look at the N4C website for all three categories and see whats winning. A common theme is bright, vivid color!
We are eligible for 8 entries in each category. Pictorial if fine but we need a few more photographers for Nature and Contemporary.
E-mail to Steve (info on SCCC website or contact Steve) or burn the .jpg files to a CD/flash drive and give them to Steve.

We welcome Matt Miller, a very talented young photographer, as our banquet speaker.
Matt's program will feature Nebraska and Iowa in PLAINS PICTORIAL. Sunrise to sunset, and in all seasons, the landscape and people of the Great Plains. It will be an informal presentation and to quote Matt, "folks can just ask questions as we go." Matt has visited the SCCC web site and looks forward to seeing the talent of the club displayed in the Year-End entries.
In May, 2000, Matt, graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Bachelor of Journalism. From 2002 to the present he has worked as a photographer for the Omaha World-Herald. Matt's project, Highway 20 through Nebraska/Iowa, was showcased at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center during the summer of 2008.
