YEAR END COMPETITION entries are due not later than April 28 in the following categories as described in our Club Bylaws. (posted elsewhere on our site.)
Section 2. Annual Awards: 2 entries per member per category.
a. There shall be the following Annual Awards:
Black & White print of the year Class A
Black & White print of the year Class B
Color print of the year Class A
Color print of the year Class B
2x2 slide of the year Class A
21/4 x 21/4 slide of the year
Color print of the year Class C (if entered)
The above entries must have been entered in monthly competition during the current camera club year. The following awards will also be given. These entries need not have been entered in camera club, and please mark as "open class":
Grant Jensen Award for best Black & White print
Bob Tjebben Award for best Color print
Lee Meis Award for the best 21/4 x 21/4 slide of the year
Best 2x2 slide of the year
Best nature slide of the year

March prints and slides for club competition must be turned in by the first meeting on March 14. You may bring them to the meeting on Thursday or get them to Steve's porch prior to Thursday. The early date is required due to the second meeting being only one week later on March 21. The usual March meeting falls on Passover; a conflict for the church.

If you happen to be in Sioux Falls, SD between Feb. 22 and April 7, you may wish to stop by the Washington Pavilion located in the former Washington High School building, 11th and Main in downtown Sioux Falls. Ron Johns, a well known South Dakota photographer will display a new exhibition titled Extended Wanderings. Additional details and article appears on page A11 of the February 22, 2002 Sioux City Journal.

All Slides must be at Steve Paulson's front porch by Friday, Feb 22 and the prints must be there by the 23rd to get judged for this month.
We also need slide and print judges for March. If you are interested please let me know.

SCCC has received an announcement for "Nature Photography Seminar With John Shaw – May 5, 2002." There is a registration fee of $95 if registered by April 13. Otherwise the fee is $125. The location is the Hilton/Airport Hotel in Bloomington. Conact me if you wish to have details and/or the registration form.
