this month at Charlies (Holiday Inn on Gordon) 6 PM
PROGRAM: The program this month will be split into two parts. The first
half will be a video about the Sandhill Crane migration through central
Nebraska. For those of you who have never experienced a frosty March
sunrise on the Platte River I hope this video will convince you that it's
well worth the effort. The sights and sounds from the huge flock of birds
that congregate for several weeks just outside Kearney is amazing -- some
might even say spritual.
Since we are in the area we thought a little travel log of some
other great photo opportunities in central Nebraska would make for a good
second half of our meeeting. Paula and I will show a short slide
presentation and talk about places we like to visit on a long weekend of
crane watching.
PHOTO OF THE WEEK CONTEST: Don't forget about the "Weekender Magazine" "Photo of the Week "
contest Along with the photo you need a " By Line" ( Photo by ), a brief
story of the photo, and a brief history of the photographer.
Photos can be prints or slides, as they will scan them. All photos shoud be
recent, taken within the last 1-3 weeks. Prints and slides, along with
information can be taken to "Williams and Company," 814 Pierce St. or
they can be E-mailed to tgr@willconsult.com

Each print maker should make sure that they include one Nature and One
Pictorial each month. Hard working folks who send things in for competition
should ASK for member's prints and slides for competition. (I think)
Let's keep working to bring back best Club Trophy from Medora this
