SCCC
April 2000 Sioux Scope

I love to put out a Sioux Scope like this one! Here is where I get to see who reads it. (Ed.)
To start with:

1) The church has a conflict on our regular meeting night so Roger has moved our meeting, up a week, to Wednesday night on April 19th at 7:30pm.

2) Due to the new meeting night the head judges only have 6 days to judge everything in so the deadline for all April entries for the monthly competition is Thursday night April 13th.

3) The deadline for all Year End Award entries is Thursday night April 13th.

3) Plan to buy tickets for the year end banquet at the April meetings. After that contact Steve Peterman.

4) Year end banquet date is Tuesday, May 2nd, see below:

The Sioux City Camera Club Annual Banquet
The banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at the Hamilton Inn (old Holiday Inn) on Hamilton Blvd. Social hour will begin at 6:00PM with dinner at 7:00 PM sharp. The dinner will be chicken, potato and vegetable for $12.00. Steve will need to know who is coming by the last Thursday in April. Steve will also need to collect the money for the meal by the last meeting in April.

The guest speakers are from England are friends of Chuck Peterson. They will be doing a slide presentation of their many trips to Africa.

Steve Peterman will collect your pictures and slides to be judged for year-end awards at our first meeting on April 13th. Please have them marked for the class you wish them entered. You may enter two per class.

April Program

Convention Banquet Request
As was announced at the March 9 meeting, we will be making small wire easels for each person attending the banquet (about 100). We will need 3x5 or 4x6 photographs to display on the easels. Please bring as many photos as you can to either one of the April meetings. If you don't mount them, we will do that when we get together to make the easels. If you would like to be part of this project this summer, please let Vernice Kingsbury know so you can be contacted.

SCCC Web Site - www.cptrans.com/sccc
We will be updating the site and adding the convention flier registration, etc., Then later the 2000 convention details will be added as they become established.

Restaurant For April
Before every camera club meeting the members and guests meet at a local restaurant for dinner. The restaurant for this month is the Sirloin Stockade at the Southern Square Mall. Everyone is welcome -- see you at 6:00pm.
